Antique Violin labeled Tomaso Eberle ca 1770.
This violin is most likely a copy of a violin made by Tomaso Eberle-one of the most important makers of the 18th century Neapolitan school of violin making.
Even though this is not an authentic instrument, and its actual age cannot be determined, the violin is still at least 100 years old in our estimation. The violin has been fully restored and set up in our shop by our head luthier, Andrs M. Bilva. The instrument has had a significant and poorly disguised scroll repair on the D-String peg. The violin has a substantial amount of natural antiquing.
The sound of this violin is incredibly sweet, round, and powerful. It has a robust tenor in the lower registers, moving to a pure middle register, with asinging clarity in the upper voice.
Even though this is not a Fiddlerman or Holstein line instrument, this violin is still backed by our standard warranty and return policy.
