We are pleased to feature this bench made violin from Polish violin maker, Marcin Czubernat. This attractive violin features a rich and deeply colored spirit varnish which is tastefully antiqued. This violin has a bold and warm sound, but still has a brilliant upper register. The setup is done by our master luthier, Andrs.
Marcin Czubernat, born 1977 in Zakopane, Poland, started his adventure with the violin in primary school. After graduating from PLSP A. Kenar in Zakopane (State Secondary School of Fine Arts), he started building his own instruments. During his career, he gained practical knowledge from master violin makers from Zakopane and Nowy Targ. His workshop mainly produces violins and violas which follow the Cremonese school, primarily the instruments of Stradivari from 1716. He uses carefully selected woods and spirit varnish to build these fine instruments.
