We are delighted to feature this gorgeous violinby award winning maker, Marco Cargnelutti. Thisviolin is inspired by of the famous “Il Toscano” violin made in 1690 by Stradivarius.
The original ‘Tuscan’ violin was made in 1690 by Antonio Stradivari. Of all his violins made in the period previous to 1704, the ‘Tuscan’ represents most perfectly the greatness of Stradivari’s ability. The bold, original style, perfect technical workmanship, and splendid all-round tone, completely convince one for the first time of his great skill and originality.
This particular violin was Cargnelutti’s submission to the XVII Pisogne Violin Making Competition 2023. The violin is finished with beautiful Cocobolo wood fittings and is currently set up with Evah Pirazzi Gold strings.
